Our goal at Kredit Automation & Controls is to ensure that our customers experience the highest level of efficiency possible in their manufacturing process. Our fourteen years of automation experience has given us a high level of understanding of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and what makes an intuitive, easy to understand interface, that helps both the machine operator and also the maintenance technician. We offer a wide variety of products to accomplish this goal. Our HMI designs are developed in Rockwell Automation software RSView ME, RSView SE, RSView 32 and Invensys Wonderware. Specifically, each Human Machine Interface is customized to meet the unique needs of our clients. We can help you determine the HMI best suited for your needs, whether it is a touch-screen display panel or a PC based HMI with either mouse or touch-screen operation.
A well designed HMI can be especially useful for understanding the manufacturing process and efficiency through trending of specific process data. Trends (plots) of critical parameters vs. time can be displayed that give insight into control effectiveness, machinery health, and energy consumption. For example, we've developed systems that identify weaknesses in machinery before a component fails through trending and a continuous comparison with a healthy machine's trend "signature".
Data can be easily collected, displayed, and archived through PC based applications such as Rockwell Automation RSView 32 software. In addition to RSView32's operator interface capabilities, data can be collected in comma delimited text files for future analysis. Finally, we can develop reporting systems to read the data based upon user selected parameters and automatically prepare reports for data presentation.
The HMI should assist the maintenance technician in trouble-shooting machine or system problems as well. We often develop custom I/O status screens that clearly state the condition of each I/O point. We also provide insight into "permissives" or I/O that must be in a certain state for the machinery to operate. It becomes immediately apparent what sensor has failed that keeps the machine from functioning.
