DieKlean 360 Post Extrusion Die Cleaning Equipment
The DieKlean 360 series of aluminum die cleaning systems offer the most
efficient chemical cleaning of post extrusion dies on the market. Each system
offers unsurpassed safety, maximum use of chemicals, minimum cleaning
time, and the reliability of Allen Bradley PLC controls.

Die cleaning the conventional way:
  • Put on rubber suit, gloves and face mask
  • Lift tank lid, open valves for water. Measure water
  • Open valves and turn on sodium hydroxide pump, measure sodium hydroxide by dip stick or marking
  • Avoid breathing toxic fumes
  • Light the gas burner under the tank. Wait.
  • Load dies into a basket. Put basket in the tank full of hot sodium hydroxide and water. Reach over tank to close lid
  • Wait 6 to 10 hours or more, pull open the lid and pull die basket from hot sodium hydroxide and water mixture, avoid breathing toxic fumes
  • Hose off the dies with water, check to see if the dies can be disassembled
  • Repeat if needed to be able to disassemble die
  • Dump waste in holding tank after some period of time. Remove hazardous waste

Automated Cleaning with the DieKlean 360:
  • At the touch screen operator interface, enter the number of gallons of water and sodium hydroxide desired. Press the “start” button
  • Push “open” button to open the pneumatically actuated lid
  • Put on gloves, load dies into a dry tank
  • At the operator interface, set cleaning time of 2 to 4 hours depending on die size, press “start” button
  • When the lid automatically opens at the end of the cycle, remove dies from the clean, dry tank.
  • Disassemble dies, salvage remaining aluminum
  • In a few days, transfer waste into the automatic neutralization tank when the solution useful life indicator reaches a preset value.
  • Set the desired pH on the operator interface neutralization screen. Press the “start” button
  • Remove NONHAZARDOUS waste
