Human Machine Interfaces Make all the Difference
A well designed Human Machine Interface (HMI) or Operator Interface for an automation system can reduce your operator training cost and down time losses.
When it comes to automation engineering, a well designed HMI provides an intuitive interface for the machine, guiding the operator through a logical machine set-up, selection of recipes, and a clear and concise alarm structure. It can provide troubleshooting screens designed to eliminate the need for the repair technician’s laptop and ladder logic knowledge.
As a Rockwell Automation Integrator Partner, Kredit Automation & Controls, has designed hundreds of operator interfaces for many different industries. Our experience in the development of operator interfaces ranges from stand alone machines to plant wide, server based systems that communicate with 3rd party software such as OSI Pi through ControlLogix gateways.
Rockwell Automation has two operator interface platforms; RSView 32 and FactoryTalk View®. Rockwell Automation’s RSView32 software has been a staple of the PC Based HMI for years, and is a tried and true product that is robust and reliable. RSView32 is available in two basic packages, RSView32 Works, which includes the development software and the required runtime software for the PC, or as a Runtime package alone. Pricing is dependent on the number of tags associated with the HMI, whether the development software is needed, if RSLinx is needed, or finally, if the application is a single node application. Single Node applications are those that are not-distributed onto multiple PCs. RSView32 is also available in server/client versions as well.
