Since we’re Rockwell Allen-Bradley System Integrator Partners, and owners of the Rockwell Automation Software Tool Kit, we have the ability to program any PLC manufactured by Allen-Bradley going back to the PLC 2 and the original SLC 500, to the latest ControlLogix processors with full redundancy capability and motion control.

While we primarily use ladder logic, we also use function block, structured text, and visual basic when appropriate. Simplifying your system integrator is key in our approach; we want our customers to be able to troubleshoot their systems quickly and easily. Consequently, our programs our logically structured, well organized, and documented with generous rung comments.

Recent Plant Automation and Programming projects include:

  • Aluminum extrusion press controls using Allen Bradley ControlLogix processor and Rockwell Automation Logix 5000. The system included real-time extrusion ram speed feedback control, control of seven hydraulic pumps, and ancillary systems such as billet loaders, billet ovens, discharge conveyors, saws, pullers, and other material handling systems. The system utilized 11 DeviceNet nodes to minimize wiring throughout the press and surrounding area.
  • Fully redundant hydraulic system control using redundant ControlLogix redundancy modules (1756-SRM), redundant Ethernet modules, and redundant ControlNet modules.
  • Servo controlled Cartesian coordinate (x-y) system for automated insertion of screws in aluminum structures. This system was programmed utilizing an Allen Bradley SLC 503 processor and Ultra 3000 servo drives. The machine had the capability to install 17 screws a part in less than 45 seconds.
  • Aluminum Extrusion Die Cleaning systems utilizing Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and MicroLogix processors. Systems involved PID loop control of automatic pH control systems.
  • Automated saw system utilizing Allen-Bradley CompactLogix processor, and Bosch Rexroth servos and drives controlled through Ethernet communications.
  • Control system integrators for Geothermal engines utilizing multiple PID loop controls with an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix processor and Logix 5000.

We have experience in communication protocols such as Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Modbus.
